First Monday of every month 6-7pm

Torque was founded in February 2008 the aim was to bring high quality, more musical aspects of drum and bass in an intimate and friendly environment.

After a year and a half based at the legendary Tube in Bristol, Torque is now based at the newly established Basement 45. Basement 45 has a capacity of around 300 and comprises of 2 bars and 2 underground rooms. More info about the club and directions on how to get there can be found on their website.

“With all the palaver over Bristol’s continuing dubstep prowess it would be easy to neglect the ever-bustling drum and bass scene at its expense. Thankfully for dnb heads, city promoters Torque aren’t likely to let such oversights occur on their watch, confirmed by the latest in a solid run of bills at the latter day home Basement 45.”

- ‘Venue magazine’ (Sept 2009)

Over the course of the last 18 months Torque has hosted some of the finest artists within the genre with big name line-ups from the forefront of the scene, as well as fresh, up and coming, ‘nu – skool’ talent. Artists we have brought to Torque so far this year include:

In these shows you can bet your bottom dollar to hear some dubstep, dnb, breaks, funk and what not along with the fun thought-a-tition where he will play an old song for you so you can think about who made the current version and what the track called to 15 min mini mixes either by Gez or by guests.

Monday 3pm – 4pm

Show Details:
Topski started mixing in 2008 after being into drum n bass for a good few years. He started out using CDs as they were cheaper but soon moved onto vinyl to keep up with new releases and because of the added benefits to mixing. He has now moved onto using three decks – two turntables and one CD – and will be looking to move onto three turntables without the CD very soon

Topski”s show on hub radio aims to bring you an hour of drum n bass or dubstep, mixing old tracks with new releases. Some shows will be themed: liquid, jump up, old skool etc and some will be one big mash up of whatever sounds good.
