Hub Radio on BCfm (Bristol Community FM) is our new regular show, starting Tuesday 31st January 10pm, and then on every week.

What to expect?

The show will include highlights from shows on Hub, original content, events that we are running, plenty of music and more. Different presenters will be heading the show every week. We have also teamed up with WesternEye and will be providing regular content every week. The show can be listened back the next day, if you happen to miss it.

More information will be released soon on who will be presenting the first few shows.

Below is an extract from BCfm’s Drivetime show, where Station Manager Matt Ribbins had a quick talk with Dean Blake.

Today people were reporting issues with our HQ stream breaking up and being unusable. We apologise for the disruption. There were problems with our HQ stream provider yesterday which were causing these issues. The problem has now been fixed, and everything should be working again.

Another problem people have been reporting is the player stops working after an extended period of time. This is a problem with UK Radioplayer’s app, which is beyond our control. However, we will be one of the first to test out the new player in January next year which should resolve these problems. For now, if you want to listen to Hub for a long period of time, go to http://www.hubradio.co.uk/listen and there will be links to launch Hub in your favourite player, such as iTunes, Windows Media Player, RealPlayer, WinAmp and many more.

Not an opportunity we get every day. Six of us from Hub and WesternEye got the chance to visit the BBC 1Xtra Studios in London, met some of 1Xtra’s presenters and DJs including Zane Lowe and Tim Westwood. They also got the opportunity to be on Westwood’s live radio show as well. Here are the highlights (with Hub). Cue the bomb.
